Just back from a 2-night stay. The food was fantastic, especially the fish & chips, which were the best ever according to my dad! The comfy vibe made it feel like home.

The dining options are impressive, particularly the evening meals, which showcase quality ingredients and generous portions. The dog-friendly policy is a big plus, accommodating pets without extra charges, and even providing towels for muddy paws.

Room 8 sits above the bar, so noise might be bothersome for light sleepers hoping for an early night. The external door from the car park requires a hefty slam to close, rattling the building, which can be annoying. Breakfast options left something to be desired, particularly with the kippers touted to be local yet tasting quite salty and lacking freshness.

Spent a couple of nights in a lovely room, the staff were incredibly friendly, especially a lady named Jude who made sure our mornings started with a delicious breakfast and a sausage for my dog! The beer garden was like a slice of heaven, enjoyed every moment soaking up the sun with a pint in hand!
